In what experts are calling an unprecedented development in the history of British digital entertainment, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has reportedly determined that Twitch streamer Hans Hicks, better known online as DaveHix, simply does not stream enough.
The revelation has sent shockwaves through the country, particularly among taxpayers who have spent years unknowingly contributing to HansHix’s career through the Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) system.
According to sources familiar with the situation, a number of concerned taxpayers have formally complained to the UK Government, arguing that HansHix’s current streaming output represents an unacceptable return on the nation’s investment.
“We’ve been paying into this system for years,” said one taxpayer. “And what do we get? Two streams, a cancelled stream, and then a Discord message saying he’s ‘streamed out.’”
The ONS reportedly reached its conclusion after conducting an extensive analysis of HansHix’s broadcast history, including stream duration, frequency, cancellations, trucking sessions, aviation incidents, and the amount of time spent announcing that he would be streaming later.
One unnamed statistician described the findings as “deeply concerning.”
“On paper, the numbers simply don’t add up,” they explained. “There are approximately 24 hours in a day, yet HansHix appears to be streaming for considerably fewer than 24 of them. We have no idea where the remaining hours are going.”
The situation is now expected to escalate into a major legal battle between Mr Hans Hicks and the Government of the United Kingdom.
Legal experts anticipate the proceedings could be lengthy, complicated, and filled with paperwork. Unfortunately, this presents a significant problem.
Every hour HansHix spends in court is an hour he could otherwise have spent livestreaming.
“This is potentially catastrophic,” said one concerned viewer. “They’re taking him to court because he doesn’t stream enough, but the court case itself is going to stop him from streaming. It’s a self-sustaining governmental attack.”
The contradiction has not gone unnoticed.
Government officials reportedly remain confident that the legal process will proceed as planned, while HansHix’s supporters have called for an immediate increase in streaming allowances.
Meanwhile, notorious rival aa320pilot, who has previously been observed undertaking HansHix via the emergency lane, offered a characteristically unconventional solution.
“Just stream from the courtroom,” he allegedly suggested. “Judge can watch on Twitch. If the Wi-Fi works, obviously.”
As of press time, HansHix had yet to announce whether tonight’s stream would go ahead. Sources say the decision remains under review and will depend largely on “how much of a pain in the arse this whole thing becomes.”
The UK Government has reportedly declined to comment on whether Motha-Trucking Tuesday could be considered an eligible form of national service.
The British taxpayer, meanwhile, waits.

And, above all else, demands their content.
